Our recommendations are based on lots of practical experience.

We have dragged our camera equipment throughout much of Japan and most of Europe.

Since we specialize in portable solutions for photography on location, this page will gradually develop with reports from our expeditions. In the meantime, a few suggestions.

Never ever go on an expedition with just a single camera. Sooner or later it will cease working. Bring a spare camera and spare lenses.

Bring a reflecting system of material, which can often be more useful than a flash. We use Lightform but many are available.

The FLAAR team was on location in Guatemala (summer 2001) preparing to do large format digital panorama photography. This entire site is being updated based on the evaluations of camera equipment which are ongoing at Francisco Marroquin University, the location of the FLAAR office for Latin America.
