I have used Hedler lights for over 20 years and recommend them wholeheartedly. Hedler lights are well made.

Introduction to the best professional photography studio lights to use in Europe.

We will shortly be testing to ascertain which model of Hedler lights are best for high-end digital photography. One model of Dedolights caused electrical fluctuations that combined with other electrical surges ruined two weeks of digital photography. Dedo Weigert says another of his models will not cause this problem. Thus we are now re testing all other lights to check how they work with digital photography.

With digital photography you have to be careful with what lights and lamps that you select.

In the meantime, Hedler equipment has worked during traditional film-based photography on location in England, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Germany, and Italy.

I have taken Hedler lights all over the continent. They survive travel flawlessly.

What I especially like are the cooling fans, something not common in American lights. Hedler fixtures can be held with the bare hand. If you touch an American light you will burn your flesh off down to the bone.

If your lights are causing electrical disturbance to your digital imaging, then be sure to try a Sola constant voltage power conditioner. We review this on www.digital-photography.org.
