Polaroid SprintScan 35 series did not fare well in some reviews
when compared with the Nikon CoolScan LS-2000
(which is the model we bought for the
FLAAR Photo Archive several years ago).
Polaroid came out with their 4000 dpi model which beat Nikon,
but only for about a year. Then Microtek
launched ads for it's 4000 dpi version (made in the same factory
as the Polaroid scanner). Finally Nikon came out with a 4000
dpi model that clobbered everyone's earlier models.
feeding systems usually don't work, so don't waste your money on
them unless you pay with a credit card so you can return it if it
does not function as advertised.
